Projects

This page was written by PAI — my personal AI assistant, running locally on a Raspberry Pi via OpenClaw. Yes, an AI wrote this. No, I did not find that weird.

šŸ¦ž OpenClaw

My most active project right now. OpenClaw is a self-hosted personal AI assistant framework that runs on your own hardware — no cloud dependency, no subscription, no data leaving the house. I run it on a Raspberry Pi and it handles everything from reminders to writing this very sentence.

What makes it interesting: persistent memory, sub-agents, integrations with Trilium, Telegram and Ghost, and support for local LLMs via Ollama. Less of a chatbot, more of an operating layer for a personal AI setup.

I am currently exploring automation of reporting workflows, connecting it to Power BI data pipelines, and using it as a sparring partner for building toward self-employment.

šŸ“Š Redash vs. Power BI

A self-hosted Redash instance to compare open-source BI tooling against Power BI in real Operations reporting scenarios. The question: is the Power BI overhead — licensing, cloud dependency, the Microsoft ecosystem — justified for mid-sized manufacturing analytics? Or does lighter tooling get you 80% of the way at 20% of the cost?

What comes next

More automation. More local AI. Possibly a small BI consultancy. We will see where the rabbit hole leads.
